If you’ve been meaning to join a playdate, this is the one!
Saturday, December 7 @ 10amCST
Playdates with Death™ will host a community Q&A with Carly Olson, estate attorney with Creative Planning.
What is probate? Why is it so bad? How can my family avoid it?
How do I decide if I need a simple will or a living trust?
If I get one thing done in 2024, what should it be?
How can I minimize estate taxes?
What’s the process for creating an estate plan? Why/when should I call an attorney?
How often should I review my estate documents?
Carly Olson is a trusted expert in the field, and when I told her more about how we do Playdates with Death,™ she reminded me that she also does improv. Our mix of seriousness and laughter is her jam, too.
Here’s what to expect on December 7:
We’ll gather online at 10amCST with a playful opening question. Then, we’ll take a moment to breathe and settle in to the playdate.
Carly will introduce herself and help us answer questions like the ones above. Please bring your questions, too! We’ll have about an hour to answer as many as possible.
We’ll close with an invitation to shake out any accumulated stress with a little dancing (camera on/camera off - dancer’s choice!). After the playdate, there’s an optional 20-minute “lounge” for community connection and informal conversation.
Expect to learn a lot, meet some fabulous folks, and feel empowered to take your next steps toward securing - or reviewing and updating - your will and/or living trust.
